Toy company Mattel have recently revealed their first barbie representing a person with Down Syndrome.

As part of their Fashionistas range, these barbies are designed to reflect the world kids see today~ with each Barbie featuring a different body type, hair colour and style, skin tone, eye colour and outfit; capturing their own personal style.

Mattel collaborated with the National Down Syndrome Society of USA to create the Barbie to ensure accuracy in its representation. Well done Mattel!
