What is the NDIS
The NDIS is a new way of providing individualized support for people with a disability that takes a lifetime to approach. The NDIS is about giving you more choice in how you live your life by allowing you to control the way your support funding is spent.
How does the NDIS work?
If you are eligible for the NDIS, you will receive funding on an annual basis to fund all your supports, services, aids & equipment that are approved in your Individual Support Plan.

Eligibility for NDIS
DISABILITY:
If your disability is likely to be with you for life, and substantially impacts how you manage everyday activities.
AGE:
If you’re under 65 years of age.
RESIDENCY:
If you live in Australia and are an Australian citizen, or you have paperwork that gives you permission to live here permanently.
If you think you may be eligible for NDIS Funding; you can use the NDIS Eligibility Criteria Checklist prepared by the NDIA.

If you are eligible to receive disability support, you will develop an Individualized Support Plan (NDIS Plan). Upon approval of your plan, you will then be able to access your support services through the NDIS.
